Ministries

There are many ministries available at First Baptist Church. Each are specifically designed and geared to serve you and your family, and to help you find your place in the FBC family and in the Kingdom of God, as we seek to glorify Christ and know Him in a personal way.

Bible Study & Education

At First Baptist, we believe Bible Study is at the root of an active and growing relationship with Jesus Christ, and that it is important to do that with others who identify with you and your family’s place in life. No matter your age or place in life, there is a class for you.

Discipleship

Throughout the year we offer a variety of different discipleship courses. These may include Sunday evening, Wednesday evening, and weekday studies.

Music

Here at FBC, we offer a place for everyone to learn to praise God through music and to lead others in worship. We invite you to find your place in our ministry of music as we strive together to worship God in spirit and in truth.

Preschool

With a heavy emphasis on Sunday School, preschoolers, birth through five years of age, at First Baptist are taught eternal truths about God and His Word as they enjoy concrete Bible learning activities. Parents of preschoolers are encouraged and strengthened through the Parent Connection Conference we present once a year.

Children

The First Baptist Church Children’s Ministry exists to create an environment for faith in which boys and girls will be transformed into the spiritual champions that God created them to be. With Bible Study at its heart, our ministry provides Vacation Bible School, TeamKids, Children’s Choir, Missions Organizations, and many other special emphasis throughout the year.

Youth

Middle School and High School students, grades 7-12, are involved in our youth ministry. Throughout the year there are discipleship groups, Mission trips, Summer camp and much more to involve students in an active relationship with Christ and others.

Prayer

Prayer is a vital part of church life at First Baptist Church. Our Prayer Ministry serves as a support system for our church, our staff, our church family, and for people throughout our city, state, nation, and world.

First Baptist Men

First Baptist Men is the exclusive ministry for the men of First Baptist Church. With focus groups in service, bible study, and fellowship, the First Baptist Men strive to give FBC men a place to get involved, grow as Christian men, and develop relationships with fellow men of FBC.

Women’s Ministry

The Women’s Ministry at First Baptist Church is designed for women of all ages and exists to glorify God by guiding women to a stronger relationship with Jesus. It is our desire for women to find a place to study the Word of God, and equip them to use the gifts that God has given them. We encourage you to find your place at First Baptist Church.

Missions

Our belief statement is straight from Acts 1:8, “but you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be my witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth”.

As a believer you are not called to only one area. You are called to all three – Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria, the remotest parts of the earth. We are all called to go across the street, across the states and across the seas…the only question is will I answer the call, and how soon?
